Ayer's Rock Pudding

A predecessor painting to Civilized (Two Landscapes), Ayer's Rock Pudding was inspired by a trip to a Sydney bakery where an English Style pudding was a ringer for the famous landscape. Here presented with cloying sweetness by a perhaps overly friendly westerner, other desserts for sale might also resemble ancient Australian landscapes.
